Biting, spitting, chewing, swallowing, and gagging, Slippages of the Mouth is a performance conceived by Gloriya Avgust and Andrea Celeste La Forgia. Four characters linger over the taste of feminist class struggle and the tensions between labour, the gendered body, identity, and performance. By situating the mouth as a stage and the tongue as a site of revolt, the work exposes the vulnerability of bringing the foreign inside and casts every character into question.
