Voices Amplified draws parallels between prominent political activists and leaders, by using excerpts of political speeches of Thomas Sankara — an influential revolutionary figure from Burkina Faso and Helmin Wiels — political leader from Curaçao. Both of them launched an unprecedented series of social, ecological, and economic reforms in their own countries, and were tragically assassinated.
