Biography

Raya Davidova is a ceramic artist based in Varna, Bulgaria, where she runs her own studio offering ceramics classes and workshops. With a background in Industrial Design from the Technical University of Varna and Fine Arts from the National School of Arts, she creates unique lighting, artistic objects, and furniture. Her work blends craftsmanship with interior design, and through her studio, she shares traditional and contemporary ceramic techniques with the local community.

Grounding is a contemporary art project that explores the human need to reconnect with nature, the body, and the inner self. In response to the fast-paced modern world, digital oversaturation, and the loss of physical presence in everyday life, the project creates a space for slowing down, cultivating awareness, and engaging with raw material through clay — an ancient, organic substance directly tied to the Earth.
