Sphere of Happiness', 191cm diameter, fiberglass
ArtistsSphere of Happiness' – Varna is a large-scale sculptural work created to form iconic visual experiences and restore the connection between people, space and emotional values. Through forms and colours inspired by happy childhood memories, the sculpture transforms these emotions into a contemporary work of public art. The inspiration comes from familiar objects from childhoodр, beach balls, sweets, marbles and playground toys. These forms and colours carry associations with joy, freedom and play and have a universal emotional quality that can be recognised beyond cultural, generational and social boundaries. The project brings a sense of joy, optimism and togetherness into the dynamic and often fragmented urban environment. The artwork establishes itself as a contemporary symbol of unity, emotional comfort and belonging, contributing to a more pleasant, human and socially active urban environment. The work reflects the belief that public art should be accessible and present in people's everyday lives. In a world increasingly dominated by technology, information and constant movement, the sculpture creates a moment to pause and reconnect with simple emotions and values. It is conceived as an open and accessible work that invites an emotional experience rather than solely an intellectual interpretation. The spherical form functions as a symbolic visual anchor within the urban environment, a place to pause, meet and share a moment of presence.
