DISTANCE and INORI form a thematic diptych that reveals a world of inner resilience and consistent drive towards the other. DISTANCE, an installation composed of two “embracing” beds, opens a portal to a tender memory. It implies a strong drive towards togetherness that is oblivious to consequences and reminds of times of abundance and potential. In INORI, a video art piece, multiple frames continuously shift, with a dim light that flickers at the centre of each of them. The light is a changing, yet ever present core that suggests quiet hope and a gesture directed towards something beyond oneself.
